What I’ve Learnt from Visiting Our Providers

Over the past few months, I’ve been spending more time meeting with our existing providers to discuss curriculum development and future opportunities.
It’s been great to get out and see first-hand the qualifications they’re currently delivering, understand their priorities, and explore where there may be opportunities for growth. Every conversation is different, but they all provide valuable insight into what’s happening across the sector.
One thing that always stands out is the openness with which providers share both their successes and their challenges. These discussions are incredibly important, not only because they help us identify ways to support individual organisations, but because they often highlight wider themes and opportunities that could benefit our entire provider network.
The feedback we receive also plays a key role in shaping our future products and services. Identifying gaps in provision, emerging industry needs, or barriers to learner progression allows us to take those insights back to our product development team and ensure we’re continuing to evolve our offer in line with the realities providers face every day.
A particular area of focus has been working with SEN schools and specialist providers. These conversations have reinforced the importance of creating qualifications and learning opportunities that are accessible, flexible, and genuinely support positive outcomes for learners with additional needs. Understanding the unique challenges within these settings helps us think more carefully about how we can develop products and support services that make a meaningful difference.
A huge thank you to everyone who has welcomed me in, shared their insights, and contributed to these conversations. I’m looking forward to continuing to work together to identify new opportunities and support learner success.
