As part of #AccessApril we got the chance to interview current Access to HE learner, Phil. Phil is studying Psychology at Wirral Met College and answered our questions all about his experience as an Access to HE student.
What made you choose an Access course?
I chose to do the access course because I wanted to go to university, to challenge myself and to further my life skills.
Why does Access to HE work for you?
I think the access course works for me because I'd just completed my GCSEs and I didn't have any A-levels so it seemed like a good route.
What is the best thing about the course?
The best thing for me about the course is the other students are really nice, we get the support we need from the tutors and the content is really interesting.
Where do you want to progress to?
My aim is to start university this September studying psychology.
Would you recommend an Access course –if so why?
I would recommend an access course because you learn a lot of information relating to your chosen subject, your confidence grows, you get great tutor support and you meet some great people.
All at Open Awards would like to wish Phil all the best in his future studies. If you like any further information on our Access to HE Diplomas or those on offer at Wirral Met College click the hyper links.
