We have an exciting opportunity to join the Business Development Team at Open Awards. 

Functional Skills Officer

Salary:    From £22,000 - £23,000 depending on experience

Status:    Fixed Term contract (12 months initially)

                 Part-Time – 21 hours per week (flexibility over number of days)

Location: Open Awards Head Office, Speke

Working as part of the Business Development Team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of Open Awards Functional Skills qualifications (Entry Level 1 – Level 2). It is an exciting time to join the team as we prepare to launch reformed qualifications. Your role will be vital in supporting the development of the new qualifications and assessments, and supporting our internal and external stakeholders, including a wide range of education providers, with the transition to new qualifications. You will work closely with subject and assessment specialists, assessment writers and our partner awarding organisations, and will have responsibility for the day to day coordination of the procedures and processes for Functional Skills qualifications.

With excellent written and oral communication skills, you’ll have both an eye for detail and lots of ideas about how we can get best support our customers with their delivery of Functional Skills qualifications. Willing to adapt, you’ll respond well to change and will happily juggle multiple projects and work with a wide range of stakeholders, both inside and outside the business.
