Standardisation: Peer Mentoring ON SITE
Standardisation session for provider tutors, assessors and IQAs delivering Peer Mentoring qualifications
Wednesday 8th of October 2025 at 10am.
This session will take place at Open Awards office - Estuary Commerce Park, 17 De Havilland Dr, Speke, Liverpool L24 8RN.
The session will review the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of these units, a selection of assignment briefs from providers and consider the relevance and appropriateness of assessment tools. Redacted learner evidence will be made available to delegates before the session to consider whether this is sufficient, appropriate, authentic, valid and reliable.
Participants will also discuss the effectiveness of assessor feedback to the learner, and from the IQA to the assessor and can identify and share good practice.
Approved providers must allow tutors, assessors, and internal quality assurance staff to participate in and attend standardisation activities organised by Open Awards upon request.
All providers with Authorised Internal Verifiers (AIVs) must participate in at least one external standardisation event per year as outlined in the AIV Policy. Failure to comply will result in AIV status being withdrawn from all AIVs at the provider and an increase in the provider’s risk rating.
