Results

We confirmed results on-demand as Centre Assessment Grades were externally quality assured. Results have been made available via the Portal.

All results will be confirmed by 20th August 2020.

The majority of hard-copy certificates have already been posted to the agreed centre address and we are continuing to post certificates on a daily basis as centres confirm they are open to deliveries. If you have not received certificates you are expecting, please contact us on customerservices@openawards.org.uk to speak to a member of the team.

If have opted for e-certification, these are available through the Portal.

You must be logged in to the portal with an Administrator profile to access e-Certificates.  To download e-Certificates;

  1. Access the relevant course run via the Your Course Runs page
  2. Click on e-Certificates within the course run
  3. Tick the relevant learners
  4. Enter password (centre ID number) and click 'Download'
  5. A 'zip' file will be created that will contain certificates for the selected learners (the file is encrypted with your password).

Appeals in relation to the Centre Assessment Grace arrangements for Summer 2020 must focus on compliance with Open Awards processes. We will not allow appeals relating to the professional judgements of teachers and centres.

The appellant must clearly state the way(s) in which they believe that Open Awards has used incorrect information or that procedures were not followed properly and fairly in arriving at a calculated result. An appeal may also encompass whether a Centre has followed a procedure properly and fairly, where relevant, including any issue in relation to bias or discrimination on the part of a Centre in following a procedure.

Appeals relating to Ofqual qualifications subject to calculation of results must be submitted to Open Awards by no later than 17th September 2020.

The full policy can be viewed here

Functional Skills controlled assessments were made available again from 1st August 2020, as long as you have received your calculated results for the Summer 2020 awarding period. This covers all subjects, levels and components.

Please schedule your assessments as normal via the XAMS platform.

You must ensure that you are following all government guidance in relation to health and safety when making arrangements for your assessments. If you have any concerns about managing the required controlled conditions, please contact us on quality@openawards.org.uk to speak to a member of the team before scheduling your assessment.

You may be able to offer assessments remotely making use of remote invigilation or proctoring. You must seek approval from Open Awards to offer this service before scheduling your assessments. You will need to provide your policy and procedures to demonstrate your ability to maintain the controlled assessment conditions required for Functional Skills assessments. Please contact us on quality@openawards.org.uk to discuss your assessment requirements.
