COVID-19 General

The Open Awards office building in Speke is not currently open to the majority of staff or visitors. However, the team are all still working as normal remotely and all services continue to be available via the Portal. If you need to speak to a member of the team, please visit the Open Awards Team page to find our team's direct numbers. 

If you're not sure who you need to speak to, please use customerservices@openawards.org.uk in the first instance and a member of the team will call you back.

We appreciate your patience during this period and want to assure you that our business systems ensure that we can still deal with your queries. 

We will let all our centres know if the above position changes. Please can you ensure that all contact details are correct and kept updated. 

Our normal certification service is still available as usual for those that require it and for those who have confirmed that their buildings are open to receive posted certificates. 

All our qualification, unit and course certificates are available as hard copies and/or e-certificates so please contact customerservices@openawards.org.uk to confirm your preferred mode of certification to avoid any delays to your learners. 

 

If your school / college / building is going to close for a period of time, please let us know by contacting customerservices@openawards.org.uk or 0151 494 2072. We will then work with you to rearrange any scheduled quality assurance activities and ensure that we do not post any certificates or assessment papers to you during this time. 

If you have any concerns about the impact on your learners' assessments or completion of a qualification, please contact your Lead Quality Reviewer directly or by emailing quality@openawards.org.uk. 

We have cancelled all face-face training/events up to the end September. If you were booked onto one of these events, you will have been contacted by the relevant team. 

Online/remote training and events are still available and can  be booked via our website

We are adding additional webinars and online training in response to the current needs of our centres. If you need anything in the meantime please contact the team on customerservices@openawards.org.uk or by calling 0151 494 2072.

Please be assured that you will not be charged for any events or training that you are unable to attend short notice due to COVID-19 or the resulting advice/guidance around isolation / social-distancing. 

No additional charges will be incurred by centres that relate to late registrations or submissions that are a result of the impact of COVID-19. Wherever possible, we ask that you continue to follow our usual procedures to avoid any disadvantage to learners. If you have any concerns relating to your delivery and assessment; administration procedures; or invoicing/charges, please contact the team on customerservices@openawards.org.uk and the appropriate member of the team will give you a call to discuss.
