Final Awards Boards

 

  • FAB dates are scheduled at Annual Compliance Monitoring Visit
  • Results uploaded to the Portal ready for the FAB
  • FABs taker place between 1st-12th July
  • Minutes of the FAB are sent to Open Awards within 48 hours

Final Awards Boards (FAB) must be held within four weeks of the completion of an Access to HE Diploma course.

The FAB will:

  • approve the Award of Credit, grades and Access to HE Diplomas
  • ensure the provider’s ongoing adherence to the QAA licensing criteria
  • confirm the provider’s approval status with Open Awards for the next academic year
  • consider cases of misconduct, extenuating circumstances and appeals
