Open Awards are proud to announce that Curzon Ashton Football Club have become an approved Open Awards Centre.
The certificate was presented to Curzon Ashton Football Club Development Community Officer, Andy Cheshire by Open Awards Chief Executive, Heather Akehurst, in a perfect play that Curzon Ashton Manager John Flanagan would have been proud of.
The centre recognition means that the football club will be heading up a variety of learning projects around community learning for children, vulnerable adults and asylum seekers.
Andy Cheshire said of the recognition,
“This is a fantastic progression for us as a club, to be recognised as an accredited learning centre with Open Awards. It demonstrates our commitment to delivering accredited courses at the Tameside Stadium to our local community – helping to improve people’s lives through education and lifelong learning in an informal, fun and vibrant setting”.
Heather Akehurst added
“Open Awards are delighted to be working with Curzon Ashton FC and their impressive community work. It’s an important partnership for us - as it’s through working with Centres like Curzon Ashton FC that Open Awards can ‘change lives through learning”.
Here at Open Awards we are looking forward to a successful working relationship with Curzon Ashton Football Club.
