Whistleblowing is a term used to refer to an individual who discloses information relating to malpractice, maladministration or wrongdoing and/or the covering up of malpractice, maladministration or wrongdoing. Whistleblowing is distinct from appeals, complaints and employment disputes.
Open Awards would expect individuals to raise the concern(s) with the centre in the first instance with a view to resolving through their own Malpractice/Maladministration and Complaints Policies.
Where the individual feels the concern(s) raised have not been addressed, they may feel it appropriate to notify Open Awards. Please refer to our Malpractice and Maladministration Policy for further guidance here
